Valentines' Day - The Verdict

As much as I'm anti Valentines' Day, I gotta say the movie is a winner.

'I Hate Valentines' Day' wasnt too bad. I've always loved John Corbett ever since 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' and his Sex & The City debut as Aidan Shaw (adored him for it!). I just HAD to see this movie.

But I thought Nia Vardalos was a tad too grinny in this movie... almost like she's smiling to keep from crying. The storyline was decent and I can relate to most parts of it. Her fears, all the dating rules and being in total control of the situation so that she wouldn't get hurt.

By the end of it, I gotta admit I was a lil disappointed and thought 'whats so I-HATE-VALENTINES-DAY is this movie'? I was expecting some girl-power mantras, girlfriend support group moments... something about strength, patience and love of other things but men... but nah, it ended up to be another soppy movie.

Valentines Day, on the other hand, fits the usual standards of a romantic comedy, not to mention the glitzy cast. I was most touched by Julia Roberts' story and most squemish-ed by the gay couple. But thats just me. Nothing against homos. Peace.

Valentines Day - Love it or Hate it?

How about both?
Feelin rather shagged right nw but I really dun feel like going hm. So I thought, hw abt bogglin my brains even more n force the Valentines movies down my throat!
I've bought e tix for shows back to back. 'I Hate Valentines Day' will be at 5.35pm later so in e mean while i'm havin my lunch/ dinner at FISH (313 Somerset).
Damn hungry right nw. The only thing i've swallowed today is Marcus's cum :-P

Best Valentines' Ever!

Though 'business' was slow, my Valentines' Day didnt turn out as bad as I thought it might when I still couldn't 'clinch' any dates by 11pm on the 14th of Feb. Aaahh, for the first time in many years, I did not get laid on CNY holiday. Quite a refreshing change!

Thank goodness for the CNY-Valentines' double bash, this year shops are actually open and the streets were not as deserted as last year. And to my wonderful surprise, I was greeted with the most amazing thing that Valentines' Day could offer.

Fun fair and thrill rides!!!!

I did not know that there was a fun fair at Esplanade! Owh I just loveeeeee thrill rides... I'm such a sucker for 'em. As soon as I stepped out of Marina Square and saw the party that was happening outside, I just knew my night was gonna be a blast.

The atmosphere was so uplifting with the deafening techno-trance music (which I secretly enjoy.. hehe), it immediately put me in hyper mode as I drooled over all the rides around me. I finally narrowed down on the 2 rides that I MUST MUST MUST take, which is the Top Gun and Vortex.

The Top Gun, which costs 3 tokens ($7.50) looked pretty wild but wasnt as scary as I wished it would be. I was craving for that 'sick-tumbled upside-down stomach' sensation but instead the ride felt more like a giant swing that merely made me wanna go 'Weeeeeeee....'. I couldnt even fake a scream.

The Vortex though, was rather good! It suited my thrill-buds almost perfectly as it swung me around 360 degrees. Singapore's sky-scrapers look quite good upside down too! The ride costs 6 tokens ($15) and lasted almost 5 mins.

One thing that really scared me was... that I might have lost my 'thrill-ride orgasm'. You know, how thrill rides always leave you with this feeling like you've dropped so fast, it leaves your stomach hanging. I didnt even truly feel it on the Vortex! Serious.

But I made myself scream out loud anyway, not only to let out any pent-up frustrations but more of to let loose and allow myself to have fun, even though I was all alone, dateless, sex-less on Valentines' Day.

p/s: inbetween the rides, i still managed to answer a few sms enquiries in response to my ad. One guy even asked if I could give a cheaper price if he only wanted a blow-job at the staircase. *LOL* tsk..tsk..tsk..
